Sokkia Corporation is the United States subsidiary of Sokkia Co., Ltd., Tokyo, a world-leading manufacturer of precision measuring systems. Sokkia Corporation markets Total Stations, Data Collectors, Digital Levels, and Lasers and a full complement of field accessories through a nationwide distribution network. New products include the Remotocatcher system, a single-operator, auto-acquiring total station system, and a complete line of long-range reflectorless total stations with patented RED-tech EDM technology. Also new for 2005 is "SFX", or Sokkia Field-Info Express; a capability to send and receive Total Station data directly from the field via a mobile phone or wireless modem.

GPS solutions are distributed through Point Inc., a joint-venture partnership between Sokkia Company, Ltd., and Novatel Inc. Products include sub-meter, decimeter, and Real Time Kinematic measurement systems. Unique products include the GSR2650LB, a precise positioning single-receiver system. Sokkia's SDR series of electronic field book software enables users to switch back and forth between conventional surveying and GPS systems, and alternate between the two within the same job.
