This year’s ACSM Fall Conference will take place at the Gaithersburg Holiday Inn http://www.higaithersburg.com/ which is across the parking lot from ACSM Headquarters. For meals at the Holiday Inn there are two options – there is the Village Park Café (breakfast and lunch) and O’Malley’s Pub (happy hour, dinner and late night snacks).
There is a room block set up at the Holiday Inn Gaithersburg. The room block expires Tuesday, September 8, 2009. If you plan to attend the meeting, you’re urged to book soon.

Hotel Shuttle
The Holiday Inn has two shuttles to take guests to and from the Shady Grove metro station, which is at the end of the Metro Red Line. The Shuttle usually runs every half hour. As we get closer to the date, we will let you know a definitive schedule. During the daytime hours cabs are also readily available at the Shady Grove Metro.
Car Rental
If you decide to rent a car (which is advisable if you anticipate heading into DC or moving around the Gaithersburg area) then there is an Enterprise Car Rental office onsite at the Holiday Inn.
Malls and Shopping Centers
A mile or two away from the Holiday Inn there is Lakeforest Mall http://www.simon.com/mall/default.aspx?ID=1254 where there are several stores and restaurant options.
Several miles away (a cab ride away) there is the Washingtonian Center at Rio Entertainment Complex http://www.shopwashingtonian.com/
