NSDI
Governance Models for The National Spatial Data Infrastructure
(NSDI): Industry Outreach Focus Session. As
part of its development of future directions for the NSDI, the Federal
Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) is restructuring the governance model of the
NSDI to make it more effective and inclusive. This session seeks the
input of private sector and other non-government organizations. It will
provide the opportunity for participants to: understand the issues
involved in the restructuring; discuss potential options; provide
comment and input about potential roles of the private sector; and
provide input for use in the development of recommendations. The FGDC
will use the outcome of this activity to guide its strategic planning to
support a more holistic approach to NSDI governance.
